Getting started with DTEN Action Card
DTEN Action Card is a slim recorder that captures your meetings and calls — at the table, on the phone or in the hallway — and turns them into the things you promised to do. This article walks you through first-time setup.
What you need
- Your DTEN Action Card
- A smartphone with the DTEN app installed
- A DTEN account (you can create one in the app)
- Any USB-C cable
Step 1: Charge the card
Connect the card to a USB-C cable — the same one you already carry for your phone. A full charge gives up to 12 hours of continuous recording and up to 90 days on standby. Charge it fully before your first meeting.
Step 2: Install the DTEN app and sign in
- Download the DTEN app from your phone’s app store.
- Open the app and sign in with your DTEN account, or create a new one.
- Allow notifications when asked. The app uses them to remind you before meetings and to show the recording timer.
Step 3: Pair the card
- In the DTEN app, tap Add device.
- Hold the card next to your phone and press its button once.
- Follow the prompts on screen. When pairing is finished, the card appears under My devices.
Step 4: Snap it on
The card has a built-in magnet and is MagSafe-compatible. Snap it onto the back of your phone (or a MagSafe case) and it stays put. For an in-person meeting you can also simply put it on the table.
Good to know
- The card is sealed to IP67, so rain, spills and dust are fine.
- There is only one button. See Recording a meeting or a phone call for how it works.
Next steps
- Set up Voice ID so the card can tell your promises from everyone else’s.
- Record your first meeting.
