This article is intended for use when you received the three flash drives from Support. This is to update the entire unit manually because the unit is below v1.3.0 and cannot automatically update. PLEASE DO NOT CLONE THE USB DRIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step A – Main Bins Update (Green USB)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Turn on the D7<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Plugin the wired keyboard and Green<\/strong> USB to the USB ports on the lower section of the D7. (You might find a sticker reading “Please do not remove Sticker” on the left-back of the unit. You can remove this sticker and it will expose additional ports.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Go the back of the D7, press the third physical button from the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. The \u201cGeneral Setting\u201d menu will appear. Please enter \u201c1 3 7 9<\/strong>\u201d from your wired keyboard while the menu is up. (Please note: do not use the number keypad; use the row of number keys above the \u201cQWERTY\u201d row)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. The factory menu will show up as shown. Using the arrow key on your keyboard and select 3. Upgrade MCU<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Select Confirm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. The system will then start to update. Please wait until it reaches 100% and the D7 display will reboot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Once the D7 is back up. Select the \u201cGeneral Setting\u201d menu by following steps 1-3 under the section \u201cStep A – Main Bins Update\u201d. Use the wired keyboard to press \u201c1 3 7 9<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Select 5. Upgrade Main Bin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Select Confirm<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. The system will begin updating. Please wait until it reaches 100% and the D7 display will reboot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12. Please wait until the D7 display fully reboots, as this may take a while. Once the reboot is finished, the Main Bins update is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step B – BIOS Update (Red USB)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Please turn on the D7 display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Insert the Red<\/strong> USB flash drive and the wired keyboard to the USB ports on the rear, top section of the D7 display\u2019s PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete<\/strong> and you will see the following screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Please click on \u201cSign Out\u201d.
5. You will be brought to the Windows lock screen.
6. Please select \u201cZoomAdmin\u201d as the account to log in to Windows 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. You will then see the prompt to log in to \u201cZoomAdmin\u201d. Please enter the password and log in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passwords for both accounts are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoom <\/strong>(Zoom Rooms) – Zoom123<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ZoomAdmin <\/strong>(access to the PC) – Zoom1234<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. The Windows operating system will then show up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Tap on the \u201cWindows\u201d icon, click the Power button and select “Restart” the PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. While the system is restarting, press the \u201cF7\u201d key on your wired keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. This will show up, and select Samsung Flash Drive 1100<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

12. Wait until you see the free DOS menu screen below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13. Type \u201c107.bat” and press Enter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14. Wait until the process finishes. The screen would then display \u201cFPT Operation Successful\u201d. Then press the \u201cCtrl\u201d, \u201cAlt, and \u201cDelete\u201d keys in succession to reboot the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step C – IoT Image Update (Blue USB)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Once the D7 display is back up, insert the Blue<\/strong>-labeled USB flash drive and the wired keyboard to the USB ports on the rear, top section of the D7 display\u2019s PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Please restart the PC<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. While the system is restarting, keep pressing \u201cF7\u201d on your keyboard<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. This time, select \u201cUEFI: Samsung Flash Drive 1100, Partition 1\u201d and press \u201cEnter\u201d on the wired keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. If you see this screen, please press 1 and wait. Otherwise, please ignore this step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. You will see this screen. You don\u2019t do anything, please wait<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Once in the \u201cHome\u201d tab, please select \u201cMy Disks<\/strong>\u201d under the \u201cRecover\u201d section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. If you see the following screen, please skip step 9 to 11. If you see the screen shown as Figure 8B instead, please follow steps 9 to 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. If the screen shows no items to display, please click Browse. Double click the \u201cRemovable Drive (F:)\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Under \u201cRemovable Drive (F:)\u201d, select \u201cWIN10_648_20190925_v9_full_b1_s1_v1\u201d, and click ok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. You should see the screen shown the same as the figure 8A above. Then click Next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12. Under the \u201cRecovery method<\/strong>\u201d tab, please select Recover whole disks and partition<\/strong>, <\/strong><\/em>and then select \u201cNext\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

13. Select the checkbox Disk 1<\/strong><\/em>, to select all the boxes, then Next<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14. You will see this screen and select Next<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

15. Continue by selecting OK<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

16. Then Proceed<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

17. Select \u201cRestart the computer when the operation is complete\u201d<\/strong><\/em> while the system is updating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

18. The system will restart after the update is done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

19. After the system is restarted, if you see the screen shown as Figure 19 A below, it means the update is successful, please skip step 20 to 26 and go through step 27, 28, and 29. If you see the screen \u201cWindows Boot Manager\u201d shown as Figure 19 B below, it means you need to take a few more steps, please go through step 20 to 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20. If the system restarts and the screen \u201cWindows Boot Manager\u201d is shown, please press \u201cF2\u201d on the keyboard. Then, the following screen \u201cAptio Setup Utility\u201d should be shown. If not, please restart the system again and keep trying to press \u201cF2\u201d before the screen \u201cWindows Boot Manager\u201d pop-up, <\/strong>until the screen \u201cBIOS Setup Utility\u201d is shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21. In the \u201cBIOS Setup Utility\u201d interface, press \u201c\u2192\u201d on the keyboard in order to select \u201cBoot\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

22. Under \u201cBoot\u201d, press \u201c\u2193\u201d on the keyboard in order to select \u201cBoot Option #1\u201d, then press \u201cEnter\u201d on the keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

23. You will see the pop-up windows as shown below, which indicates the first \u201cWindow Boot Manager\u201d is your default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

24. Now, select the other \u201cWindow Boot Manager\u201d by pressing \u201c\u2193\u201d on the keyboard. Then, press \u201cEnter\u201d on the keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

25. In the \u201cBIOS Setup Utility\u201d interface, press \u201c\u2192\u201d on the keyboard in order to select \u201cSave & Exit\u201d. Under \u201cSave & Exit\u201d, select \u201cSave Changes and Exit\u201d, and press \u201cEnter\u201d on the keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

26. There will be a pop-up window to ask you to confirm, select \u201cYes\u201d and press \u201cEnter\u201d on the keyboard. The system will restart automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

27. If you see the screen shown as below, it means the update is successful, you can continue to go through step 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

28. The D7 display will initiate and set up Zoom Rooms, please follow the instruction shown on the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When that is completed, Zoom Rooms will launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
